2025 Volunteer Welcome from BAA Medical Coordinator Stephanie Walsh

Thank you for volunteering to be part of the Boston Marathon Medical Team for the 129th running of this iconic race on Monday, April 21st. As one of over 1,800 medical professionals supporting 30,000 athletes from Hopkinton to Boston, your dedication helps uphold the reputation of our medical program as one of the most respected in the world. Whether you are a returning volunteer or joining us for the first time, your role is essential to our success on race day.

This Learning Management System (LMS) is a vital part of our preparation. It offers centralized access to our most current medical protocols, logistical plans, and communication procedures—designed specifically for the marathon environment. The LMS also supports your professional development, offering Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit opportunities through partners like the Office of Emergency Management, Cogent Steps, and Harvard Medical School. These optional CME pathways are available for a wide range of disciplines and provide added value for your time and service. We encourage you to engage fully with the materials; the better prepared we are together, the better care we can provide.

We’re proud to have you on the team and look forward to another safe and successful Marathon Monday.
