Description:
The Boston Marathon presents unique medical challenges that require a coordinated and specialized approach. This course provides Physicians and Nurses with essential training to adapt their expertise to the demands of a large-scale endurance event. From managing complex cases like exertional heat stroke and dehydration to seamlessly coordinating care across multiple medical stations, this program emphasizes the critical protocols and teamwork necessary to deliver exceptional care. Participants will also gain valuable insights into event-specific documentation and evidence-based practices to ensure optimal outcomes for every patient.
Podiatrists and Mental Health volunteers will receive a Certificate of Completion through Harvard Medical School that can be used to support your association’s CME requirements.
Students and All Other Volunteers who complete this medical program will find a BAA Certificate of Completion in their Dashboard.
