Description:
The Medical Sweep Education Program is designed to prepare volunteers and staff for the critical role of ensuring runner safety and well-being during the Boston Marathon. This course covers the protocols and best practices for identifying and assisting runners in distress along the course, coordinating with medical teams, and executing safe and efficient transport to medical facilities. Participants will learn to recognize signs of medical emergencies, communicate effectively with team members, and follow established procedures to provide timely care. Emphasis is placed on teamwork, situational awareness, and maintaining the highest standards of runner safety throughout the event.
