Description:
This course equips Support and Gear Bus volunteers with the knowledge and skills needed to assist runners during the Boston Marathon. Participants will learn about their critical role in supporting runners who are unable to complete the race, including procedures for safely transporting them, managing gear, and providing comfort and assistance. The course covers communication protocols, runner check-in and tracking, and coordination with medical and event staff. Volunteers will also be trained in best practices for ensuring a positive and supportive experience for all participants in need of assistance.
